What is the difference between these two types of computer memory? - computer memory

I'm trying to update my computer, and there are two types of the same memory. What is the difference between the desktop PC-4200 and PC2-4200 Desktop memory? I have no idea.

DDR means Double Data Rate.

Earlier versions are named DDR DDR, DDR2, and an improvement in clock speed - like the second version.

Most computer emeory the type you need, if necessary, to the manufacturer's website or call the support number.
